Canvasses

Knocking on doors and speaking to voters is the most effective way to influence a voter!  And, canvassing has a bad rap. It's really easy to do, the people we speak to are friendly and interested in what we have to say. You will speak to progressive Blue leaning individuals, not with red right-leaning folks! It's really fun to do with a friend! Give it a try!  We have canvasses set up in many areas around the district, on varying days and times to fit your schedule!

Write Vote Forward Letters

Writing Vote Forward Letters to Voters in OR-5 is a great way to help Get Out The Voters in Oregon 5!  This is a great way to help if you are a busy person and can't easily get to scheduled events. While there are also many scheduled Letter Writing events available in the area, writing letters is something you can do when you get spare moments in your schedule or at home  in leisure time. It only take a few minutes to write a letter (you only write 1 or 2 sentences). You can down load the letters from the Vote Forward  website, or get letters from a local event/pickup location!

Phone Banks

Calling and talking to voters is an easy way to really help get voters to determine which candidate to vote for. Often they don't know who's running, and a friendly person on the phone that connects with them on a couple of issues,  helps them decide who to vote for.  And very frequently, just name recognition while filling out a ballot, will get their vote.

If you haven't done this before, no worry, we will help you with the training you need to get started. It is a lot easier than you might think!
